The ultimate in ladder-on-gutter safety.

Gutter Grabber Videos

When looking for fall protection, the answer is extension ladder safety equipment with the Gutter Grabber ladder on gutter safety device.

Introducing the Gutter Grabber ladder on gutter safety device and why you really want it.
The components of my extension ladder safety device with an example of an application.
How to easily apply the ladder on gutter safety equipment.
Locking the lashing strap on my ladder safety equipment after wrapping it around the rung 4 times.

Wrapping the strap around ladder rung and locking it in as shown may seem like a crude method to tighten the ladder against the gutter, but my experimentation throughout the tweaking process proved this to be the most efficient and most effective procedure to keep the ladder tight against the gutter.  There will be some play in an accidental kickback situation as the ladder comes up and away from the gutter-not down.  But, the hook on the gutter will keep the ladder from falling away.  My ladder safety device keeps the ladder tight against the gutter for the purpose of holding onto the top of the ladder's rungs to keep balance while mounting and dis-mounting the roof above it.  In assessing the overall fall protection rating of my ladder safety equipment that I call The Gutter Grabber, it is superior to other devices in that it will be used by the contractor more often as it is so convenient to retrieve--it's right on your tool belt.

I cannot over-emphasize the advantage of having any ladder fall protection or safety device for ladders on gutters at your fingertips right on your tool belt.  Safety devices are becoming more and more in vogue today. You probably have never crashed onto your head from a bike fall; yet you still put the bike helmet on before taking a ride.  You do it every time because you keep the helmet on the bike for convenience.  But if you had to go to a lot of trouble to retrieve that bike helmet every time you hopped on the bike, you might not put it on your head for a quick trip a couple of blocks away.  I don't expect a ladder user to take the Gutter Grabber out of the pouch on his tool belt every time he mounts a roof as some of them are relatively safe mounts, like the roofs you could have a picnic on.  It's the above-average risky roof mounts that you want to protect yourself against.

Disclaimer on The Gutter Grabber regarding kickbacks or slides on roof into the ladder:

You can buy a more expensive ladder safety device to keep the ladder tighter against the gutter than my ladder on gutter safety device in the event of an accidental kickback body slide or fall into the ladder; although my device will keep the ladder from falling away from the gutter.  It just is not designed to continue to keep the ladder firmly against the gutter when significant weight or force is pushing the ladder away from the gutter. There will be some looseness up to about 2 inches of a break-away (more or less depending on how efficiently you attached it) from the gutter depending upon the degree of force.  The primary benefit of my extension ladder safety device for use with a gutter is that it is a preventative ladder on gutter safety device. One  can hold onto the ladder rail when mounting and dismounting the roof and the ladder will be firmly held against the gutter, and you can rely on grabbing the ladder rail to keep your balance.  Without my device for ladder safety, the ladder can easily slide back and forth along the gutter's edge and easily be accidentally pushed back, causing the ladder to fall.  If you accidentally kickback the ladder with a lot of force or slide/fall into it with a lot of momentum, this device for ladder on gutter safety and some other ladder on gutter equipment as well will not continue to keep the ladder firmly against the gutter.  This is because a gutter is flexible and because my device will allow the ladder to pull away somewhat from the gutter's edge if full weight is placed against it, although the gutter hook and lashing strap will keep the ladder from falling away after the looseness occurs.
